CD Mix #3

I have to tell you that I have a Love=Hate relationship with these....I love getting everyone's collection. I hate trying to fit my favorite music on to a 60 minute CD. I know, I know, I can hear you saying...but if you convert it to MP3, you can fit more music. Well unless you get your little self over to my house when I am loading all these songs on....shutty.

My mixes went out in the mail on Monday, as ordered. I'm looking forward to my first receipts today....

1. First song (on the first side) of the first album you ever purchased. A Hard Day’s Night. Thank God someone bought me the anthology a few years ago….
2. Holiday song. Hanukah Blessings – Barenaked ladies,
3. Geographical location song—Rocking Chair in Hawaii George Harrison (need you ask why?)
4. A medley. Gospel Medley – Destiny’s Child Hey, it was in my collection…the harmonies are nice, even though the words kind of leave me, um empty…If only the synagogue had some well dressed lovely young women to sing….
5. A dance song— Dance of the Latkes Queens Klezmer Nutcracker…’tis the season!!
6. Song with a woman’s name in the title. Veronica --- Elvis Costello
7. Song you would like to have played at your funeral. More than my Share – Crystal Spring and Carter
8. Song by your friend’s band. Love is A Round – Tracy Spring (I’m so honored to be her friend.)
9. A drinking song. What would you say? -- Dave Matthews Band. I don’t know why. It makes me thirsty
10. Kickass cover song - with a twist! Boy, this was hard!!! I finally found “black Magic Woman” -- Fleetwood Mac. Who knew??
11. Song with a man’s name in the title. Tristan’s Moon – David Weiss (another friend)
12. B-side. Better Days – Men Without Pants
13. Song about the weather Here comes the Sun – The Beatles…as if Sun is Weather to you in SoCal…it’s weather here….
14. Musical question—Did I shave my legs for this? -- Deana Carter
15. Your Cheatin’ Heart—Don’t Do Me Like That --Tom Petty
16. Song about violence and/or death. Nicaragua – Motherlode. I think Flipsycab will like this one…
17. Song you like by a band or artist you normally can’t stand. Wake me When September Ends – Green Day
18. Song you like to play air guitar to. I had to have at least ONE Billy Joel song "Only the good die Young"…and I don’t play air guitar, I play air piano….

20. Last song (on the last side) of your favorite album of all time. OK, this just pissed me off. Like I could pick my “favorite” You mean my favorite today, right? This is like picking my favorite child…(but, as an aside, different from picking my favorite book, which would be way way easier…) So my favorite today, at this moment is my Barenaked Holidays, as they are leading me in. The last song on the album, ironically enough, is the last song of the year. And I hope you all have good, healthy and happy ones yourselves.
